Oak

A.A. Laun Furniture Company uses northern red oak for its solid oak furniture.  Noerthern red oak is considered by many to be the prettiest of the oak lumber species.  Usually found in the northern climates of the upper Middle West, tighther growth rings provide a striking but tasteful "open grain" pattern that enhances the beauty of the wood.  Northern red oak in its natural state is also characterized by a red cast that adds warmth to a finished piece of oak furniture.  Most of our northern red oak is sourced locally from sustainable forests in Wisconsin.
